a visual delight

The most visible part of Calgo Gardens is our amazing 7-acre nursery. This is where we've put down roots, planting our landscaping headquarters, our naturally gifted shop and colorful potting shed (complete with green roof!) and where we offer our popular hands-on workshops & events.

Our approach to our nursery springs from the foundation for everything we do—a happy mix of our affinity for nature's beauty and its inspiration for creative expression. In 2010, Calgo Gardens transplanted from a 60-year presence in Ocean County to new acreage in Monmouth County. The Ocean County grounds were our work of art. This move provides us another opportunity to establish an enchanting gardeners' haven.

You will have an opportunity to watch the process take root and blossom. Explore the land, discovering corners and walkways with intriguing varieties of plant materials, stunning pottery, soothing fountains and surprising architectural elements. Visit often…we grow on you.

At Calgo Gardens we are always on the lookout for uncommon plantings that pique interest, invoke curiosity and cultivate a connection. If you are just beginning to consider planning your "dream" garden, the grounds offer up the materials to realize your vision, and will we will be pleased to advise and consult with you. We have a reputation among established gardeners for offering extraordinary selection and fascinating choices (a perfect destination for Master Gardens).
